Warped Tour has just announced some great news!
To celebrate their 21st year (yeah, crazy!) every ticket sold to someone under 18 years old comes with a FREE ticket for a parent or guardian. This is such an awesome ticket policy and a great way to make the touring punk festival even more family-friendly.
Not only does it help the ailing festival (seriously have you been recently?) get more bodies through the door, it helps the tour become a safe place for parents to bring their kids to, teenage or younger. Having adults in there means a boost in alcohol sales too. Hopefully that will help you drown out what the kids are calling punk these days…Baaaaaaack in my day
The tour kicks off June 17th at the George M Sullivan Sports Arena in Anchorage, AK

This is so not my Warped Tour LOL The last one I went to I saw Rancid & The Specials (and that was the only reason I went IIRC)
I don’t think any of these younguns’ are on my playlist. Sigh.

I love the idea of having parents attend. I think it makes it safer and I would feel more comfortable with my kids going.
Wow – that’s an awesome policy. They probably also realize that most of the parents used to go to the Warped Tour years ago, lol. I’m with you – I don’t recognize hardly any of those bands – getting old!
That truly is an amazing policy! Though I’m sure when I was younger my parents hated the bands I loved.. Pretty sure it would be hard for them to sit through one of them with me.. hahaha
