You Don’t Own Me. Watch These Ladies Get Political In This PSA.

Get Out And Vote!

You Don't Own Me song's lyrics inspired women and played a role in the second wave feminist movement. Watch this brilliant PSA and get out and vote.

In 1964, Lesley Gore sang this song to a lover telling him that he does not own her; that he is not to tell her what to do or what to say; that he is not to put her on display. The song’s lyrics inspired women and played a role in the second wave feminist movement. Although those days seem like ancient history, in reality they are not. The lyrics are still relative for how far we have not come in the government’s role in our lives. This video is put out by Sarah Sophie Flicker  as part of the Department of Peace project and it is a stark reminder of how important it is to get your fucking ass out there and vote!

Some brilliant cameos! Who do you spot??
