Record Store Day started back in 2007 and since then it has grown into a worldwide event. It’s all about going out and supporting your local independent music shops. There have been so many amazing ones that have closed that finding a good shop can be super rare. I know shops that rely heavily on this day to survive so to not go and support is a damn shame.
The list becomes bigger every year of musicians putting out special releases just for that day. From limited pressings and remastered reissues, there is something for everyone. Even The Dead Milkmen have a release. Last year I didn’t even get anything new but scored a copy of Little Earthquakes!

My local shop has ADAM ANT signing records!!! He is supporting a 7″ release himself. I’m debating on going though. I have a mental picture of him in my head of a strapping young man and I might disappoint myself by shattering that image. Sorry Adam!
Not every store will have all the things, so check with your shop before braving the crowds tomorrow.
