Cover Girl Announces Star Wars Makeup Line
With the release of “Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens” only four months away, that wretched hive of scum and villainy also known as the advertising industry is beginning a large-scale marketing invasion of
Star Wars products. As a lifelong fan who has spawned her own young Padawan, I’m on Star Wars stuff like a zombie on a fresh brain.
Consuuuuume…so of course I got Jedi mind-tricked by the people at Cover Girl when I saw the buzz about their limited-edition Star Wars makeup line.
The Cover Girl Star Wars collection includes lipstick, nail polish, and mascara- with colors inspired by the Dark and Light sides of the Force. While the mascaras sadly don’t double as lightsabers, they do
feature quotes from the films. So far, Cover Girl has previewed two inspirational looks. The models’ makeup and costumes seem more Studio 54 than Droid or Stormtrooper. Perhaps the upcoming looks will be better. At any rate, I’ll probably buy a few things from this collection. And because it’s Cover Girl I won’t have to part with too many galactic credits.
