10 Cool Ideas To Recycle Your Old Christmas Cards

Maybe you participated in a Punky Moms Holiday card swap? In that case, you might have more Christmas cards left over than you know what to do with. I have received some super cute card designs over the years and the DIY girl in me hates to throw them out! Every year I try and come up with some ways to recycle the cards. Sometimes I actually get my craft on, but usually I only can do one or two.

While some may believe that sending Christmas cards is an old tradition that must die, there are many who still hold on to this with everything they have. Every year we say we won’t do cards, and we cave to the pressure! If you have time to get holiday photos done every year, it can be a cute way to update people on what is happening at home. If you don’t have time for the photos, you might pick up a pack of cards and send them out to the usual suspects. We compromised this year and bought cards whose proceeds go to a charity. If you want to give back some more this holiday season, check out some ideas here.

2. Make Your Own Holiday Wreath

I’ve seen whole wreaths made from old cards but sadly that is not what I have time for. This photo is one of mine. I made this Christmas wreath out of black garden bags. I used three different cards to make the letters in the banner.
