Updating the Forums – Don’t Panic!

I will be updating us from our current version to the newest version of software our board uses. You may experience intermittent downtime while I do so as I am at the mercy of my upload speed.

PunkyMoms is Selling a PDF Mini Cookbook & Giving Away a Prize!

Yep, you read right! We’ve put together a mini cookbook to help fund our full sized cookbook! It’s a rockin’ PDF too, full of my favourite at-home recipes. This bit is at the bottom, but for you impatient types (you know who you are – I am too!) we’re selling a mini cookbook in PDF format, and since you happened to buy this book, we’re giving you a raffle ticket too! You can buy as many PDFs as you want! Feel free to just download it once. It wont change just because you buy more. For every PDF you purchase you will get, direct to your email, one number to an actual ticket that I will write your full  name on and drop in a box.

For every 75$ in PDF cookbooks we sell, we will draw one winner. This will be an ongoing raffle until we get rid of all the prizes and I’ve got one surprise raffle to run at the end.

Your mystery box will come complete with… well, it’s a mystery! We can tell you the box is worth about 60$, it’s a large flat rate box, and it’s pretty well stuffed!

Your mini PDF cookbook was lovingly formatted with hand picked recipes from my personal collection. These recipes will not be in the final cookbook! This PDF is only being sold in conjection with the raffle.

Your 1$ will go towards printing fees for the full sized cookbook (so we don’t have to take preorders), hosting fees, license fees, new swag fees, pretty much everything we need to shell bucks out for, it’ll go towards that until we’ve squeezed every last cent from it.

After your purchase and after your payment has cleared (usually immediately) you will get a link to the downloadable PDF recipe mini book.

Because we cannot legally sell raffle tickets, we are selling this nifty cookbook. As a thank you for purchasing this cookbook, we will give you one entry into our raffle! A Punky Cookbook?

So we’ve tossed the idea around for, literally, years. We collected awesome member submitted recipes. We chatted about what publisher to use, what recipes to use, how to sell it, and ultimately, we talked it to death.

We’re resurrecting it.

We found a great source to do a smallish book with a smallish run and we’ll still be able to sell at a smallish profit, which benefits everyone. Yay! I’ll be putting something together over the next couple of weeks, cooking, tasting, jotting notes, picking the best of the best of the best. Since we’ll only have room for 50 – 60 recipes in the book itself, the best of the best will be turned into a companion PDF, and just the best will be turned into yet another PDF. Everyone wins! We love when everyone wins.

I am pretty excited! If you have a recipe you want added, please add it somewhere in The Kitchen of Chaos so I see it and try it out! There will be a list in the back of the book mentioning every member (by member name) who submitted a recipe.
