Lots of stuff going on in the punkysphere. We are all so busy…and tired…and then we get back up, and do it again each day. Such is life no?

Summer is closing out, everyone should be in school now and getting back into that schedule. Fall is upon us! I squealed this past weekend starting to see the Halloween gear out in the shops. Treated myself to a Pumpkin Spiced Latte today to really kick it off.

The forum made a horizontal move last month. to the new URL http://punkymoms.com/family - We were having some upgrade issues with our current board so we moved to (yet another) new one (for, we suppose, the last time!). The move was pretty smooth. If you are having any issues logging in, please email us at info@punkymoms.com

Persephone has been busy blogging away with her Goth Challenge Series. You can check it out over at The Night’s Plutonian Shore.

Paulita won herself a Pin-up Girl Photo Shoot and rocked it. Stay tuned on the forum for her to upload her shots.

Oz being as powerful as she is, did a pretty strong thing and took all the kids to Disney World for the American Labor Day vacation. Not an easy feat!

We had a giveaway last month and sent out copies of Joshua Pearson’s Alphabhetto book to two lucky winners. We love doing giveaways. If you would like to set one up, just use our contact form

Since the Halloween season is upon us, stay tuned for an announcement on the forum for our annual Halloween Swap. It’s safe to say that this is Punkymoms favorite time of year!  Boo!!!

 

 

Punky Moms is moving! Effective 8/6/10

We are having problems accessing the money in the treasury. Paypal is being weird and we’re having some trouble sorting it out. Our license is past due and I would like to take this opportunity to move us back to SMF, which is 100% free.

The drawbacks -

There is no converter to get us from our current version of IPB to the current version of SMF. Everyone will have to re-register and the boards will be empty. We’ll be starting from day 1.

Ah, that’s pretty much the only downside.

The good stuff -

1. SMF is free! No more licensing fees, ever.
2. If you register over there before Friday, August 6 I will personally reset your post count and Plaudit count to whatever your current count is on the current forums.
3. Did I mention it is free?

In the mean time, I’ve swapped all sales and donations over to my personal PayPal, but it’s really not a good long term solution as I use my PP quite a bit.

It is a fresh install, no nothing. Over the next week I’ll be setting it up. Please continue to post here. Please go sign up over there. That way I can start doing post counts at my leisure and am not inundated all at once.

On or around Friday August 6 I will turn off the IPB forum and move over to the SMF forum.

Once this move is completed, our only yearly expense is hosting. We pay 100$ a year to Sustainable Websites. As a reminder, they use 100% renewable energy to run their servers, it’s why we went with them. I am in the midst of moving my own sites over to them as well (one is already there, and I am waiting on my other hosting to run out before I move the other million sites I run LOL). I can’t recommend them enough. No, I am not signed up as an affiliate (maybe I should be!)
