Playdates and Meetups

We have a large section of local boards here. They are here for arranging local events, parties, gatherings and so on. There is a main local board and many individual city boards. If you don’t see a city board that is near you to plan events and meet local Punky Moms, post a thread on the main local board and see if anyone in your area responds. If you find 5 other moms in your area, we will build you a board for your town!

VERY IMPORTANT…. when you are planning a meetup on the locals board, please be sure you are ready to follow through with the event, before you start the topic. The topic starter is the event organizer, and it is their responsibility. Often times, people flake, kids get sick and stuff comes up. This is understandable…but sometimes people are planning to drive long distances and in some cases fly out to be there…so please take your planning seriously and respect your fellow mamas!

Punky Moms has become very strong off the internet and we hope you can find some great new Punky Moms to hang out with!

Donating to Punky Moms

We’ve gotten rid of paid subscriptions. It made tons and tons of people way happy! That is an awesome thing. Unfortunately, it also means we have to depend on the kindness of not-so-strangers to help keep us open. That’s not so bad, you are all so very giving.

Go ahead and click on “Donate” up at the top of the page. Oh, on the index page, down a bit, in the side bar, it shows our current progress on our monetary needs. You can also see that info on the “Donate” page.

That page also shows you current donors (I’ve deactivated the original goal, so those donors aren’t showing. I apologize – I didn’t realize that would happen) and current goals. If you click on the current goal name, it shows you more of a break down. It’s a pretty intricate system.

To donate, just use the drop down to choose your dollar amount. All amounts are in US Dollars. We offer 2, 5, 10, 15, 25, 50, 75 and 100 increments. I figured that covered everything and every pocket.

Then click Donate Now and it will lead you to PayPal – the usual steps are taken from there.

In return for donating you will get a nifty bra supporter icon under your avatar, the ability to have a signature and are few other perks for a period of 30 days. If you donate more than once within the 30 days it will add on to the end of your current 30 days. Mostly you get the good feeling of helping Punky Moms stay open.

Every now and then we will run donor specials (where for a certain amount you will get some swag or something) but please don’t wait for a special to donate a couple of bucks. Every little bit helps. You can see it in how we grow towards our goal!

Every donation of 50$ or more will always get a surprise in the mail.

If you would like Punky Moms to link back to your site, just comment on this post with your link information. It will display as soon as we approve it.
